Project Director - Data Centre Construction | Frankfurt

A leading international construction consultancy is expanding its German operations and seeking an experienced Project Director to lead hyperscale data centre delivery from our Frankfurt office.

Frankfurt continues to be one of Europe's most active data centre markets, with sustained capital flow from hyperscale and colocation operators driving an exceptional pipeline of campus-scale developments. This is an opportunity to take a senior leadership role on landmark projects within the FLAP-D region, working with global clients at the forefront of digital infrastructure.

The role:

• Lead the delivery of multiple data centre campus developments from due diligence and masterplanning through execution, handover, and contract administration
• Develop comprehensive Project Execution Plans aligned to client requirements, incorporating communications strategy and key milestones
• Own the client relationship throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring satisfaction is maintained and issues are resolved decisively
• Champion the continued development of project management capability through standardisation, automation, and digital tooling
• Mentor, coach, and develop colleagues across the wider team, embedding continuous improvement and consistent reporting practices
• Maintain robust project governance, with continuous risk review and active mitigation
• Contribute to RFP and SOW documentation for key stakeholders
• Lead programme-level reporting across schedule, cost, safety, and risk
• Enforce consistent delivery standards across all project participants and workstreams
• Support business development, including bid input and client-facing presentations
• Contribute to recruitment activity to support regional growth

About you:

• 8+ years' experience in data centre or mission-critical construction project management, with a clear track record of leadership and people management
• Degree (or equivalent experience) in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Demonstrable hyperscale data centre, large-scale industrial, or mission-critical project experience
• A genuine commitment to developing your team, through mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing
• Strong relationship builder, comfortable operating with senior client stakeholders
• Fluent German (minimum B2 level)
• Existing right to work in Germany
