We're working with a number of welcoming secondary schools across Sunderland who are looking for a passionate English Teacher to join their team full time from September.

What you'll be doing

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Inspiring students through literature, language and creative writing
• Assessing, monitoring and tracking pupil progress
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Supporting students to achieve their full academic potential
• Working closely with colleagues, parents and pastoral teams
• Contributing to the wider school community

We're looking for someone who

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching English within a secondary setting
• Has strong classroom management skills
• Can motivate and engage learners of all abilities
• Is passionate about raising achievement
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills
