We're working with a respected and growing residential developer seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Staffordshire. Salary: Circa £60,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits Package

The Opportunity

As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of residential developments from commencement through to completion. Working closely with construction, technical and land teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the commercial aspects of residential developments from inception to completion
  • Procuring and managing subcontractor packages
  • Preparing cost reports, forecasts and valuations
  • Monitoring budgets and identifying opportunities to maximise profitability
  • Managing subcontractor payments, variations and final accounts
  • Providing commercial support to operational and site teams
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders

About You

We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:

  • Experience within a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within housebuilding or residential development
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • A proactive and organised approach
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • A desire to develop professionally within a growing business
