

SEMH Teaching Assistant
Be the reason a child believes in themselves again.
We're working with specialist schools in South Shields looking for resilient and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistants to start this September.
You'll support pupils aged 11-16 who benefit from smaller class sizes, structured routines and positive relationships. Your role will involve helping pupils regulate their emotions, engage in learning and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Working Pattern
- Full-time
- September start
- Monday-Friday
- 8:30am-3:30pm or 8:30am-4:30pm
- Term-time only

- Supporting learning and behaviour
- Delivering personalised interventions
- Encouraging attendance and engagement
- Supporting social and emotional development
- Working closely with teachers and SENCOs
- Promoting independence and confidence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
