Want a role where you’re genuinely needed, not just filling a gap? This is one of those.

We’re looking for a confident, compassionate Learning Partner to join a welcoming primary school in Emersons Green, supporting a child with additional needs on a 1:1 basis. You’ll be right at the heart of the classroom, helping one pupil feel settled, supported, and ready to take on the day.

The role at a glance:

Emersons Green (BS16)

  • ⏰ Full-time, 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • £14.25 per hour, paid weekly via PAYE, no umbrella hassle
  • 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs

What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be that steady, familiar face a child can rely on. The one who knows when to step in, when to give space, and how to turn a tricky moment into a positive one. From supporting learning to helping regulate emotions, your role will shape how that child experiences school each day.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • Confidence managing behaviour and building strong relationships
  • A calm, patient approach, even when things don’t go to plan
  • Someone who brings empathy, resilience, and a bit of personality

What you’ll get in return:

  • Weekly PAYE pay, simple and transparent
  • FREE access to our CPD Academy
  • Ongoing training, including Team Teach and Thrive
  • A dedicated consultant who actually listens and supports
  • A full-time role where you’re truly valued

You’re not “just” support staff. You’re the person who helps a child feel safe, understood, and capable, and that’s what makes all the difference.

Sound like your kind of role? Let’s get you into a school that really gets it.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.
