About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer who is either Chartered or approaching Chartership to join a growing team in Sheffield. The role offers exposure to a varied workload across multiple sectors, materials and project types.

You will work closely with colleagues across different engineering disciplines while taking ownership of projects and developing practical solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Produce structural designs and calculations for a variety of projects.
Work with steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures.
Prepare technical reports and design documentation.
Attend client, contractor and design team meetings.
Undertake site visits and inspections.
Collaborate with civil and geotechnical teams.
Deliver practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Experience Required:
Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience within a structural engineering consultancy.
Chartered status or working towards Chartership.
Experience designing building structures.
Good understanding of UK design standards.
Strong communication and project coordination skills.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Experience using MasterSeries, Fastrak or Strand7.
Exposure to multiple sectors and construction materials.
Ability to manage projects independently.
Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
