About the Role

This Site Supervisor role is focused on the day-to-day coordination of site activities across utilities projects. You will be working closely with the Site Manager, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and in line with programme.

You will play a key role in supervising subcontractors, organising daily works and making sure materials, labour and plant are in place when needed. The role requires someone who is comfortable being on site, resolving issues as they arise and keeping standards consistent.

This position has been created due to increased workload, offering steady work across ongoing projects in the Preston area.

The key responsibilities for this Site Supervisor role are:

Supervise day-to-day site activities across utilities projects
Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are carried out correctly
Organise daily briefings and allocate tasks to site teams
Monitor site progress and report updates to the Site Manager
Ensure materials, plant and labour are available when required
Check works are being carried out to the correct specifications
Maintain site records including daily diaries and reports
Enforce health and safety procedures on site
Identify and resolve issues to keep works progressing
Support quality checks and ensure standards are maintained
Assist with site inspections and audits

Experience required for this Site Supervisor role are:

Experience working as a Site Supervisor or Foreman within utilities or civil engineering
Background in water or infrastructure projects
Experience supervising subcontractors and site operatives
Ability to manage daily site activities and coordinate teams
Good understanding of site health and safety requirements
SMSTS qualification (minimum requirement)

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Site Supervisor role are:

SSSTS or similar qualification
Experience working on multiple sites or schemes
Understanding of site documentation and reporting
Strong communication and organisational skills
