Long-Term Opportunity
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll provide dedicated support to a student with diabetes throughout the school day, helping them access learning confidently and safely.
You'll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, parents and healthcare professionals to ensure the student receives the support they need both in and out of the classroom.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the student throughout the school day
- Monitoring wellbeing and helping the student manage their daily routine
- Assisting with diabetes management in line with school and healthcare guidance
- Providing reassurance and encouragement where needed
- Supporting learning within lessons
- Helping the student participate fully in school life
- Building a positive and trusting relationship
- Working closely with school staff and parents to ensure consistent support
Full training and guidance will be provided where required.
