The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Deliver planned lessons and interventions across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of teaching staff
  • Support teaching and learning across a range of curriculum subjects
  • Lead small-group and one-to-one interventions to accelerate student progress
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams and the SEND department to remove barriers to learning
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of individual students
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage students to become confident, independent learners
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

We're Looking For

  • HLTA status or substantial experience in a similar role
  • Experienced Teaching Assistants ready to progress
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • Experience supporting students with SEND is advantageous
  • Confident professionals who can lead learning independently
  • Individuals who build positive relationships while maintaining high expectations
