Full-Time | September Start | Long-Term Opportunity with Permanent Potential

The Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students who require additional behavioural and pastoral support
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • Support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC) and ADHD
  • Help students regulate their emotions and remain engaged with learning
  • Promote positive behaviour through consistent routines and restorative approaches
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral leaders and the SEND team to implement personalised support plans
  • Encourage resilience, confidence and independence both inside and outside the classroom

You'll play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve success.

We're Looking For

  • Experience supporting young people with behavioural or additional needs
  • Backgrounds in education, youth work, mentoring, coaching, residential care or similar are highly desirable
  • Calm, resilient and confident individuals
  • Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
  • A positive, proactive approach to behaviour support
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed

Qualifications in Psychology, Criminology, Education, Health & Social Care or related fields are welcomed but not essential.
