About the Role
This Site Manager role will see you taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of projects within the utilities sector. You will be based across sites in Greater Manchester, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality.
The role involves managing subcontractors, coordinating materials and keeping projects moving efficiently on site. You will also be responsible for reporting progress and maintaining clear communication with the wider project team.
This position has come about due to an increase in workload, offering the opportunity to step into a role with consistent projects and long-term stability.
The key responsibilities for this Site Manager role are:
Manage day-to-day site operations across utilities projects
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors on site
Ensure materials are ordered, delivered and managed effectively
Monitor site progress and keep works on programme
Produce and update progress reports for senior management
Maintain health and safety standards across all site activities
Ensure quality of work meets required standards
Liaise with project teams, engineers and stakeholders
Experience required for this Site Manager role are:
Experience working as a Site Manager within utilities or civil engineering
Background in water or infrastructure projects
Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
Ability to manage programme and site progress
Good understanding of health and safety on site
SMSTS qualification (minimum requirement)
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Site Manager role are:
SMSTS or equivalent qualification
Experience working on multiple sites or schemes
Understanding of materials management and site logistics
Strong communication and reporting skills
