Senior Project Manager – Electrical (Data Centres)

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Electrical to support our rapidly expanding Data Centre division. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing a dedicated team and overseeing the electrical lifecycle of large-scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery within strict timescales, high-quality standards, and rigorous health and safety guidelines.

The Role

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a project team to ensure full conformance with quality, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Technical Excellence: Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to ensure operational excellence across all electrical workstreams.
  • Construction Oversight: Coordinate and control the on-site construction process to ensure the build progresses in line with the master plan.
  • Client Liaison: Develop and agree on electrical submission and approval processes with clients and design teams.
  • Planning: Support the overall programming, scheduling, and strategic planning of the build.
  • Communication: Attend site meetings and provide detailed data for Progress Reports; chair and minute subcontractor meetings.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Record and report key performance metrics to senior management.
  • Operational Support: Continually review procedures, best practices, and innovative initiatives to improve delivery.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Proven background working with a main contractor or large-scale subcontractor.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Technical Savvy: Deep technical knowledge of Electrical Services and the ability to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Drive: Self-motivated with exceptional organisational skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Client Focused: Commercially astute with the ability to communicate effectively with high-level stakeholders.
  • Safety Conscious: An uncompromising approach to Health and Safety.
  • Sector Knowledge: Experience in the Data Centre sector is highly desirable.
  • Qualifications: A Degree or equivalent in an Electrical discipline is preferred.
