Health & Safety Advisor

A leading player in the civil engineering and infrastructure sector is currently looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their team overseeing projects within their Aviation team. This role will cover multiple projects at Heathrow including the resurfacing of the Southern entry/exit taxiways and Runway.

Reporting to a Health & Safety Manager, you will take responsibility for ensuring compliance with legislative, corporate, and other health and safety requirements.

Health & Safety Advisor Specification

•  Experience working on civil engineering projects
• A good understanding of concrete and asphalt paving works would be highly desirable
• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, or equivalent
• CSCS card holder.
• A qualified internal health & safety auditor with demonstrable experience of completing internal audits (Lead Auditor status beneficial but not essential)
• An understanding of the requirements of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and experience in facilitating registration surveillance visits.
• A working knowledge of current and impending health & safety legislation
• Good presentation, written, analytical and IT skills.
• Training and presentation experience throughout all levels of an organisation.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and educate/train at all levels
• Self-confidence to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
• Demonstrable achievement in a similar role.
• Willing to work a mix of days and nights

Salary: Circa £50,000 - £55,000 per annum dependant on experience plus car / allowance and package
