We're supporting a leading global infrastructure and technology solutions provider in the search for a Director of Design & Estimating to lead and develop their international pre-construction and design function.

This Director-level opportunity is a key strategic hire for the business and will play a major role in shaping the future of the global design and estimating capability. The Director of Design & Estimating will oversee Design Managers across multiple regions while driving operational consistency, innovation and commercial performance across structured cabling, ICT and data centre infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing the global design and estimating strategy
• Leading and mentoring Design Managers across multiple international regions
• Driving innovation and continuous improvement within pre-sales and estimating functions
• Supporting strategic bids, customer engagement and solution presentations
• Building strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors and key partners
• Establishing KPI frameworks and improving bid accuracy, utilisation and win rates
• Working alongside the Solutions Director to refine processes and team structure globally

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Proven experience operating at Director level within structured cabling, ICT or data centre environments
• Strong technical and commercial understanding of mission critical infrastructure projects
• A track record of leading high-performing global design, estimating or pre-sales teams
• Strong financial acumen and bid management experience
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced international business environment
