Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the National CurriculumHelping pupils build the confidence and skills they'll need as they move towards Year 6Creating a positive, inclusive classroom where every child feels supported, challenged, and valuedEncouraging independence, resilience, and a genuine love of learning across the curriculumAdapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND and EALMonitoring progress through ongoing assessment and using this to shape future learningWorking closely with Teaching Assistants, colleagues, and parents to support every child's developmentManaging behaviour with consistency, encouragement, and clear expectationsContributing to the wider school community and maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding
What we're looking for:
The right fit for this role will be someone who:
Holds UK QTSHas recent experience teaching in a UK primary school, ideally within Key Stage 2Has a strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and the key skills pupils need before moving into Year 6Creates engaging lessons that challenge, motivate, and inspire every learnerBuilds positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleaguesBrings enthusiasm, organisation, and a supportive approach to the classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
