Protocol Education is working with a specialist school in Havering that is looking to appoint a SEND Support Mentor to join their dedicated team.
This setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including MLD, SLD, ASD and PMLD. While previous school-based experience is beneficial, it’s not essential – what matters most is your enthusiasm, resilience, and genuine desire to support children with complex needs.
The ideal candidate will:

Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

Bring a calm, patient and proactive approach

Be comfortable supporting with personal care where required
-
Work collaboratively as part of a supportive staff team
Training such as Manual Handling, Hoist, First Aid or Care certifications would be advantageous, but not required.

Full-time, long-term or permanent opportunity

Monday to Friday

8:30am – 3:30pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
