Looking for a teaching role with variety, flexibility and the chance to make a real difference?
We're working with a welcoming and supportive primary school looking for a talented PPA Cover Teacher to join their team from September 2026 for the full academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who enjoys teaching across different year groups and building positive relationships with pupils throughout the school. Two of the four days will involve covering within the Early Years Foundation Stage, so previous EYFS experience would be a real advantage.
The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs and communication differences, making this an excellent opportunity for a teacher with SEND experience or a genuine interest in developing their expertise within specialist education.
The Role
As the school's PPA Cover Teacher, you will:
• Deliver engaging lessons across the primary age range
• Cover classes across the school, including EYFS and Key Stage 1
• Be responsible for your own planning and preparation
• Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual pupil needs
• Support pupils with speech, language and communication needs through clear and effective communication strategies
• Work closely with colleagues and support staff to ensure excellent outcomes for all learners
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families and the wider school community
This role does not include form tutor responsibilities, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
✔ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✔ Has proven experience teaching within UK primary schools
✔ Has experience in EYFS and/or Key Stage 1, with EYFS experience being highly desirable
✔ Has SEND experience or a genuine interest in developing their SEND knowledge and practice
✔ Has excellent communication skills and is confident supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs
✔ Is organised, proactive and confident planning their own lessons
✔ Builds positive relationships quickly and creates engaging learning experiences
✔ Brings energy, creativity and flexibility to the classroom
Recruitment Process
The school is keen to secure the right teacher for September 2026 and is interviewing suitable candidates immediately.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview, with some applicants also being asked to deliver a trial lesson as part of the selection process. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the team, experience the school environment and showcase your teaching style.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
