

Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support

We’re looking for Active Teaching Assistants to support pupils in primary schools across Lambeth who may need extra help managing behaviour and staying engaged in the classroom.
This role is ideal for people with backgrounds in sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, or physical activity, where confidence, patience, and a calm approach really matter.
If you’re someone who can build trust, keep pupils motivated, and bring positive energy into the school day, you could make a huge difference here.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting pupils who may experience behavioural or emotional challenges

Helping children stay focused, calm, and engaged in learning

Using movement, structure, and positive reinforcement to support behaviour

Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
-
Building strong relationships with pupils to boost confidence and participation
This role is ideal if you have experience in

Sports coaching or fitness training

Youth work or mentoring

Behaviour support or pastoral roles

Working with children with additional needs
