The Role

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in securing new business by producing accurate and competitive tenders across a range of civil engineering projects. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop winning bid strategies and ensure submissions are of the highest standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed and analytical estimates from first principles
  • Reviewing tender documentation, assessing scope, and undertaking accurate quantity take-offs
  • Compiling and managing enquiries for subcontractors and suppliers
  • Producing professional and compliant tender submissions in line with ITT requirements
  • Collaborating with the wider estimating and commercial teams to secure new work

Requirements

Essential:

  • HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in estimating within civil engineering
  • At least 5 years’ on-site experience in civil engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure, highways, wastewater, and FRC works
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Causeway, Conquest, Candy, or Valesco
  • Solid understanding of CESMM, HWMM, SMM7, and NEC contracts
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness
