Protocol Education is currently seeking reliable, proactive, and practical Caretakers to support schools in Islington on a short-term, daily supply basis.

This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-functioning environments, and who can confidently manage the day-to-day upkeep of school premises.

Each day offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring schools run smoothly and safely for both staff and students.

What you’ll be doing:
Opening and closing school premises, ensuring security at all times

Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs

Ensuring school buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained

Conducting routine health and safety checks

Setting up rooms and spaces for lessons, meetings, and events

Monitoring site security and reporting any issues promptly

You’ll need:

• Previous experience as a caretaker, site assistant, or in maintenance (preferred)
• Good practical, hands-on, and problem-solving skills
• A reliable, punctual, and self-motivated approach
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
