A ‘Outstanding’ school in Ilford are seeking a Full-Tme experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who have learning difficulties, complex behaviours and physical or sensory disabilities. This position starts September 2026 for the academic year. The staff are highly supportive, and creativity is encouraged. They have an excellent staff well-being package and seek out career development opportunities for all staff. That might look like:
Supporting structured routines and personalised learning activitiesHelping pupils regulate emotions and feel safe in their environmentEncouraging communication through verbal and non-verbal methodsWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staffCreating a calm, consistent, and engaging space where pupils can thrive
