Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time | Ilford

We’re looking for a confident and caring Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Ilford on a full-time, permanent basis. You’ll be supporting pupils with special educational needs, helping them feel confident, included, and ready to thrive in the classroom.

If you’ve got experience working with children or young people and a genuine passion for supporting SEND learners, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Helping create a calm, positive learning environment
  • Working closely with teachers and the SENCO
  • Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence, and progress
  • Being that steady, supportive presence every classroom needs

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree in any subject
  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Experience supporting SEN needs is essential
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
  • Full-time availability, Monday to Friday
  • Positive energy, patience, and strong communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
