We're on the lookout for caring, resilient Behaviour Mentors to support children and young people in schools across Horfield and the wider Bristol area. No two days are the same, but one thing stays constant, the impact you'll have on a child's confidence, wellbeing, and learning journey.

Whether you've worked in schools, supported young people through sports or youth work, or have hands-on SEN experience, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting pupils who need a little extra help with behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Building positive, trusting relationships that help children thrive
  • Working alongside teachers and SEN teams to create calm, supportive learning environments
  • Encouraging engagement, confidence, and those all-important lightbulb moments

What we're looking for

You don't need formal qualifications for this role. What matters most is patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm when things get a bit lively.

Experience we'd love to see:

  • SEN experience
  • Previous work in schools
  • Youth work, coaching, mentoring, or support work backgrounds

If you've helped children overcome challenges and celebrate small wins, you'll fit right in.

Requirements

To keep our schools and pupils safe, you'll need:

  • An enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service
  • 24 months of references covering your recent experience

What you'll get in return

  • Flexible work that fits around your life
  • Pay starting from £14.25 per hour, increasing with experience
  • Weekly pay through PAYE, no umbrella companies
  • FREE access to our online CPD Academy
  • Personalised support from a dedicated consultant
  • Opportunities in mainstream, SEND, and alternative settings
  • Streamlined registration and local bookings
  • Referral rewards for recommending friends

Got experience with SEN? Brilliant. Thrive trained too? Even better. If not, ask us about our free Thrive training and give your CV an extra boost with schools.

Ready to support young people who need someone in their corner? We'd love to hear your story.
