We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Harrogate looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire curious minds, spark debate, and help students connect the past with the world around them today.

From the Tudors to the Cold War, your lessons will help students build confidence, think critically, and discover stories that stay with them long after the bell goes.

The Role

You’ll be teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4, planning engaging lessons that encourage students to question, analyse and explore the world through historical enquiry.

The role will include:

  • Delivering engaging and well-structured History lessons
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Supporting students of varying abilities to reach their potential
  • Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Encouraging critical thinking and discussion
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Humanities department

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Has experience teaching History at secondary level
  • Can build strong relationships with students and staff
  • Has excellent classroom management skills
  • Brings passion, creativity and enthusiasm to lessons
  • Is committed to helping every student succeed
