Looking for experience before becoming an Educational Psychologist, Therapist or Teacher?

Protocol Education is recruiting Psychology Graduates to work across specialist schools in Gateshead and South Tyneside.

You'll gain first-hand experience supporting children with SEND while working alongside experienced education professionals. This role is perfect for graduates looking to strengthen future applications for postgraduate study or careers within psychology, education and mental health.

The role

  • Full-time
  • September start
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:30am-3:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Term-time only

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and SEMH
  • Delivering personalised interventions
  • Encouraging independence and communication
  • Helping pupils regulate emotions
  • Working alongside teachers and therapists
  • Promoting a positive learning environment

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Psychology
  • Enthusiasm for SEND
  • Strong communication skills
  • Resilience and patience
  • Previous experience with children is beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
