Are you ready to begin your teaching career in a supportive and welcoming primary school this September?

We are working with a friendly one-form entry primary school in Gateshead, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, that prides itself on creating a nurturing environment where both pupils and staff can thrive. With approximately 220 pupils on roll, the school has a strong community feel and a dedicated leadership team committed to supporting Early Career Teachers.

The Role:

  • Full-time, long-term position starting September 2026
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (term time only)
  • Teach a KS1 or KS2 class, depending on experience
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Work closely with experienced staff to support pupil progress

We're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • An enthusiastic and creative approach to teaching
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for helping every child reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
