Protocol Education is working alongside a welcoming specialist SEND provision in Gateshead to recruit Graduate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering careers in Teaching, Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work or Youth Justice, offering invaluable classroom experience within a supportive and experienced team.
Your role will include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Helping students regulate emotions and develop positive relationships.
- Encouraging engagement in learning through creative and practical activities.
- Supporting behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Working closely with teachers, SEND professionals and pastoral staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
