Protocol Education is working with a fantastic specialist SEND school in Gateshead and is seeking enthusiastic English graduates to join their team this September.
This long-term role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting pupils with autism, communication needs, learning disabilities and other additional needs.
The Role
- Full-time, Monday-Friday
- September start
- Term-time only
- Long-term position
You'll Be
- Supporting pupils in lessons and around the school.
- Delivering literacy and communication interventions.
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
- Encouraging confidence in reading, writing and communication.
- Working alongside teachers and therapists to meet individual learning needs.
- Promoting an inclusive, positive learning environment.
We're Looking For
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A caring, patient and resilient approach.
- A genuine passion for SEND and education.
- Someone considering teacher training or a career supporting young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
