Protocol Education is working with a fantastic specialist SEND school in Gateshead and is seeking enthusiastic English graduates to join their team this September.

This long-term role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting pupils with autism, communication needs, learning disabilities and other additional needs.

The Role

• Full-time, Monday-Friday
• September start
• Term-time only
• Long-term position

You'll Be

• Supporting pupils in lessons and around the school.
• Delivering literacy and communication interventions.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
• Encouraging confidence in reading, writing and communication.
• Working alongside teachers and therapists to meet individual learning needs.
• Promoting an inclusive, positive learning environment.

We're Looking For

• A degree in English or a related subject.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A caring, patient and resilient approach.
• A genuine passion for SEND and education.
• Someone considering teacher training or a career supporting young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
