We’re recruiting a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Gateshead, supporting pupils who need extra patience, structure, and encouragement to feel successful in education again.

Your day might include:

• Supporting students with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs
• Helping pupils regulate emotions and build confidence
• Working closely with teaching staff and therapists
• Creating routines that help students feel safe and settled

• Have experience in SEN, care, youth work, or support roles
• Stay calm under pressure
• Build trust quickly and genuinely care about young people
• Are resilient, adaptable, and up for the challenge

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
