I am currently on the lookout for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer for a role in Frankfurt, Germany. I am acting on behalf of a well-established Electrical Subcontractor who operate within Germany on major Pharmaceutical & Data Centre projects.This is an opportunity to join a company who has projects commencing throughout Germany with exponential growth in their Mission Critical Divisions.Key Responsibilities of this Electrical Commissioning Engineer Role:  Plan and execute electrical commissioning activities for industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.Review electrical drawings, specifications, and commissioning procedures.Perform pre-commissioning inspections and verify installation quality.Conduct functional testing of electrical equipment and systems.Troubleshoot electrical faults during commissioning.Verify compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.   Perform or supervise testing of: o Low Voltage (LV) systems o Medium Voltage (MV) systems o Switchgear o Transformers o Protection relays o Motor Control Centers (MCC) o Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) o UPS systems o Emergency generators o Earthing and lightning protection systems o Control panels o Motors and instrumentation interfaces.Prepare commissioning procedures and method statements.Complete commissioning checklists and test records.Produce commissioning reports.Record punch list items and monitor close-out.Prepare handover documentation and as-built information.  Coordinate with: o Project Managers o Site Managers o Construction teams o Instrumentation and Control Engineers o Mechanical Commissioning Engineers o Client representatives o Vendors and subcontractorsEnsure all commissioning activities comply with HSE requirements.Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks where required.Apply Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.Ensure compliance with company Quality Management System (QMS).Promote a strong safety culture on site. Essential Criteria for this Electrical Commissioning Engineer Role: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in: o Electrical Engineering o Power Engineering o Electrical and Electronic Engineering ExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience in electrical commissioning.Experience commissioning industrial or commercial electrical installations.Experience working on construction or EPC projects is preferred.Experience with factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) is an advantage. Technical Skills The successful candidate should have experience with: Electrical commissioning procedures.
