Quantity Surveyor – Durham

We’re supporting a leading civil engineering contractor in the search for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team, delivering a wide range of infrastructure schemes across the North East, Tees Valley, Yorkshire and the Humber.

This is a great opportunity to be part of innovative project teams working on public realm, highways, flood alleviation, active travel and bridge projects.

The role:
You’ll play a key part in the commercial delivery of projects, managing valuations, subcontract procurement, cost control, and contract administration—ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities:
• Preparation and submission of interim applications and final accounts
• Administration of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
• Managing early warnings and compensation events
• Subcontract procurement and contract administration
• Assessment and processing of subcontractor payments
• Final account agreement of subcontract packages
• Measurement of quantities on site and from drawings
• Production of valuations, CVRs, and financial reports
• Monitoring project progress and managing risks & opportunities
• Maintaining accurate site records

What we’re looking for:
• HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
• Experience working on civil engineering projects
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Proactive, reliable, and professional approach
• Full UK driving licence

Location: Durham 

Salary: £60,000- £65,000 (Salary depends on Experinace)
