We are partnered with a growing engineering consultancy to appoint a Senior BMS / EPMS Engineer within their specialist controls team in Dublin.

This is a senior technical position suited to someone with strong experience across Building Management Systems, Electrical Power Monitoring Systems, building automation and mission-critical environments. The business supports complex, high-spec technical projects across the data centre and industrial sectors, working closely with major clients, consultants, contractors and specialist vendors.

The role will suit an experienced BMS / EPMS Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of technical design, control system strategy, stakeholder coordination and project delivery across fast-moving data centre environments.

About the Opportunity – Senior BMS / EPMS Engineer

You will be responsible for supporting the design, coordination and delivery of BMS and EPMS systems across data centre and mission-critical projects.

This will include leading technical workstreams, developing control system strategies, reviewing vendor proposals, supporting design quality, and providing technical guidance across building automation, HVAC controls, electrical power monitoring and associated systems.

The role requires someone who is technically strong, organised, confident with stakeholders and comfortable working across multiple projects at different stages of delivery.

Key Responsibilities – Senior BMS / EPMS Engineer

• Lead BMS / EPMS control engineering design across data centre and mission-critical projects
• Develop control system strategies, technical specifications and design documentation
• Support the preparation and review of drawings, schematics and technical submissions
• Provide technical input across BMS, EPMS, BCMS, BAS, PLC and building automation systems
• Review vendor proposals, technical documentation and system designs
• Work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal engineering teams
• Support quality review, design approval, testing and project delivery processes
• Provide technical guidance on HVAC controls, chilled water, DX refrigerant, evaporative cooling and related mechanical systems
• Monitor project milestones and support delivery in line with agreed programmes
• Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical objectives are achieved
• Work independently or as part of a wider project team across multiple live assignments

Key Skills – Senior BMS / EPMS Engineer

• Proven experience as a BMS Engineer, EPMS Engineer, Controls Engineer, Building Automation Engineer or similar
• Background in data centres, mission-critical, industrial, high-tech manufacturing or complex building services environments
• Strong technical knowledge of BMS, EPMS, BCMS, BAS, PLC and building automation systems
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, electrical power distribution and control networks
• Experience with open BAS protocols and communications, including BACnet, MODBUS, LON, Ethernet and web-based systems
• Strong understanding of HVAC control applications and critical cooling systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, specifications and technical documents
• Experience working on Design & Build and/or Design Bid Build projects
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage with clients, consultants, vendors and subcontractors
• Degree qualified in Building Services, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
