

Graduate Learning Partner
Are you a graduate looking to gain meaningful experience in a primary school before taking the next step in your career?
We're working with a welcoming primary school in Downend looking for a Graduate Learning Partner to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Key Stage 2 pupil with an autism profile.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates interested in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy or child development. You'll work closely with experienced school staff, gaining valuable hands-on experience while making a genuine difference to a child's education.
The role
As a Graduate Learning Partner, you'll provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day, helping a pupil access learning, build confidence and develop independence. You'll also support small group interventions and work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a degree in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies or a related subject, although graduates from all disciplines are welcome
- Has an interest in supporting children with additional needs
- Is patient, proactive and eager to learn
- Can build positive relationships with children and staff
- Has strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Has experience working with children through tutoring, coaching, mentoring, volunteering or childcare, although this isn't essential

Requirements
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Two years of satisfactory references
- Right to work in the UK
This is a long-term position supporting a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), with funding currently in place until August 2030, subject to review.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
