We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated PE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Dewsbury. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop confidence, teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong commitment to healthy, active lifestyles. The role includes contributing to extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and wider school activities while maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across the curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress and achievement.
- Promote participation, sportsmanship, and physical wellbeing.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Support and lead extracurricular sports activities and school competitions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Physical Education.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
