Looking for school-based work that fits around your schedule?

A diverse and welcoming primary school close to Clevedon is looking for SEN Support Assistants to provide flexible support across the school. Whether you're available one day a week or five, there are opportunities to work on an ad hoc and part-time basis supporting pupils in both mainstream classrooms and the school's behavioural support unit.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in education while working in a school that values inclusion, diversity and positive relationships.

The role

  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Working alongside class teachers in mainstream lessons
  • Providing support within the behavioural unit
  • Building positive relationships that help pupils engage with learning
  • Helping to create a calm, safe and inclusive environment

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children or young people, SEN experience is preferred
  • Is patient, resilient and adaptable
  • Can build positive relationships quickly
  • Is looking for flexible work within a school setting

What you'll receive

Requirements

  • References covering the previous 2 years
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK

This role would suit graduates, aspiring teachers, support workers, youth workers, or anyone looking to build experience in education while maintaining flexibility around other commitments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
