

Teaching Assistant
A supportive BS4 school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to deliver small group literacy interventions in Year 3.
Some pupils need a boost in reading fluency and writing confidence as they transition into KS2. You’ll work with targeted groups, reinforce phonics, and support children who just need a little extra time and encouragement.
There’s a structured intervention programme ready to go, plus guidance from the English Lead. This role is perfect for someone who loves seeing those “lightbulb” moments.
The Ideal Candidate

Strong understanding of phonics and early literacy

Experience working in KS1 or Lower KS2

Patient and encouraging

Organised and confident delivering small group work

Positive and enthusiastic
You get a genuine buzz from helping a child read their first full page independently.
