About the Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take a lead role in the commercial delivery of M&E works on Hinkley Point C, managing key packages and supporting overall project performance.

You will work closely with project and senior leadership teams, taking ownership of commercial risks, managing supply chain relationships and ensuring projects are delivered in line with contractual and financial targets.

This role offers exposure to one of the UK's most high-profile infrastructure projects, within a structured environment that demands high standards and offers strong long-term career development. Although nuclear experience is preferred, those with a strong grasp of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts, particularly Option C, will be considered.

The key responsibilities for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role are:

- Lead commercial management of packages from pre-contract through to final account
- Take ownership of contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Prepare and manage valuations, applications for payment and cost reporting
- Monitor project costs, forecasts and cashflow performance
- Identify, manage and lead variation and change control processes
- Lead negotiation and agreement of variations and final accounts
- Manage subcontractor accounts including procurement, valuation and payments
- Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Support and mentor junior commercial team members
- Attend and lead commercial meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients and supply chain partners

Experience required for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role are:

- Proven experience operating at Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor level within M&E or infrastructure projects including rail, civils or utilities
- Strong experience working with NEC forms of contract
- Experience managing subcontractor packages and full commercial lifecycle
- Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience
- Ability to work within a high-pressure, delivery-focused environment
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role are:

- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects
- Experience within regulated environments such as nuclear, power or utilities
- Familiarity with ERP or cost management systems
- Professional accreditation or working towards chartership
