A two-form entry school in BS4 is looking for a confident Year 2 Teacher to join their KS1 team. The class is settled, behaviour is good, and the leadership team are present and proactive.

This school knows that Year 2 is a big year, academically and emotionally. They want someone who can guide pupils through that transition with clarity and care.

There’s shared planning across the year group, strong TA support, and a leadership team who trust their teachers.

The Role

  • Full class responsibility for Year 2

  • Shared planning with parallel teacher

  • Support preparing pupils for end of KS1 assessment

  • Strong parental engagement

  • Long-term opportunity with potential for permanent placement

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds UK QTS

  • Has strong KS1 experience

  • Confident with phonics and early writing progression

  • Knows how to keep standards high without losing the joy

  • Clear behaviour management

  • Organised, proactive and team-focused

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
