Maths Teacher (SEMH)
Numbers don't have to be scary. Neither does learning.
We're looking for a Maths Teacher who can help students see that success isn't always about getting every answer right first time. Sometimes it's about building confidence, finding a different way forward, and celebrating progress along the way.
We're recruiting for a variety of SEMH settings, including specialist schools, alternative provisions, and nurture-based environments. Each setting is different, but they all share one thing in common, they need educators who can build relationships before equations.
If you're passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and achieve more than they thought possible, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
Delivering engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
Adapting learning to meet a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and academic needs
Building positive relationships that help pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn
Supporting students working towards GCSEs, Functional Skills, and other qualifications
Bringing creativity and flexibility to lessons that inspire confidence and curiosity
We're looking for someone who:
✔ Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
✔ Has experience teaching Maths in secondary settings
✔ Understands the importance of relationship-led practice
✔ Can remain calm, resilient, and adaptable in challenging situations
✔ Believes every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their starting point
Why work in SEMH?
No two classrooms are the same. You'll have the chance to work with pupils who need a different approach, where the biggest wins often happen outside the curriculum before they happen within it.
Whether it's helping a student pass their Maths qualification, re-engage with learning, or simply feel proud of themselves again, you'll play a key role in their journey.
