Protocol Education is working closely with a welcoming primary school in BS6 to recruit a Fully Qualified Primary Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in September.

The role is based in Key Stage 2 and offers the stability of a long-term placement, giving you the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with your class, establish consistent routines, and make a lasting impact on pupils' learning and development.
Throughout your placement, your dedicated Protocol Education consultant will provide ongoing support with regular check-ins, guidance, and advice whenever you need it.

A Bit About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Experience teaching within Key Stage 2

A strong understanding of the National Curriculum

A patient, positive, and supportive approach in the classroom

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

What We'll Need to Clear You

Valid passport or proof of right to work

Two proofs of address (such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax statement, or P45/P60)

An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years of employment or education, with any gaps explained

Two years of references, including childcare references where applicable

An Overseas Police Check (OSPC) if you have lived overseas for three months or more within the last five years

Pay: £160–£180 per day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
