Protocol Education is recruiting passionate Secondary ECTs for supply teaching opportunities starting from September 2026. We work with a strong network of welcoming secondary schools across Bristol, Bath, and South Gloucestershire, providing flexible opportunities to help you develop your confidence and teaching skills.
Your first teaching role is an important step in your career. Supply teaching allows you to gain experience across different schools, strengthen your classroom practice, and discover the environment where you can thrive.
As a Secondary ECT working through Protocol Education, you will:

Many of our ECTs progress into long-term placements and permanent roles after successfully completing supply assignments.
To be considered for these opportunities, you should have:
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be completing teacher training in 2026
✔ A genuine passion for secondary education
✔ Strong subject knowledge and communication skills
✔ A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching
✔ An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
